Spring Break Joy
The Legends Honda and Legends Toyota Teams enjoyed ice cream sundaes while stuffing spring break backpacks for the Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A total of 42 backpacks were filled with coloring books, chalk, puzzles and enough snacks for each day of spring break. The Rose Brooks Center’s mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence so that individuals and families can live free of abuse. They share their legacy of hope through advocacy, education and empowerment.

Empowering future automotive professionals
Toyota of Colorado Springs has partnered with Colorado Springs School District 11 to provide important resources and opportunities for aspiring auto technicians through school programs such as work-based learning. This partnership has been a critical part of TOCS employee growth, with two technicians hired from D11’s program last year. You can learn more about the WBL program here.
It’s more than a coat
Subaru and its retailers teamed up with Operation Warm to provide children in urgent need with bundles of coats, socks and shoes. These items were instrumental in helping children stay warm and dry in addition to making a positive impact on their mental and emotional well-being. Ironically, this event took place during record-cold temperatures.

Toyota of Colorado Springs sponsored the 2023 National Mill Dog Rescue Wine and Wags Masquerade Gala in September. It was an evening to support the NMDR and all the good they do for the dogs in their community.
Lexus of Colorado Springs
Lexus of Colorado Springs partnered up with Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association (TILMODA) to donate 100 food boxes in November. This helped the Salvation Army supply 100 families with food and a gift certificate to purchase a turkey.
Audi Omaha
Audi Omaha sponsored the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center’s Fore! The Kids Golf Tournament, benefiting the Children’s Specialty Pediatric Clinic in Lincoln. The tournament raised a total of $45,000, which will help primary care physicians provide the best care possible for children with unique and complex medical needs.
Toyota of Colorado Springs and Lexus of Colorado Springs
Toyota of Colorado Springs and Lexus of Colorado Springs donated two vehicles to Colorado Springs School District 11’s automotive program. These vehicles will provide hands-on learning experiences for their students, helping them further their industry knowledge and gain new skills. We are excited to support their education and empower the next generation of automotive professionals.

Honda of Olathe and Legends Honda joined Kansas City in celebrating their vibrant community by sponsoring the 2023 Kansas City Parade of Hearts — a public art experience that celebrates diversity, unites communities and supports nonprofits by placing beautifully designed hearts by local artists throughout the Kansas City region. Our dealerships each had one-of-a-kind heart designs on display at their dealerships.

Summer Events
Baxter Subaru La Vista and Omaha
Baxter Subaru La Vista and Omaha are partnering with a local organization, The Furniture Project. The Furniture Project strives to not only provide furniture to families in need, but also to inspire hope and show our neighbors that they are loved and welcome in our community. Baxter Subaru has donated $50,000, helped clean and deliver furniture, and sponsors the maintenance of their delivery vehicles.
Subaru of Olathe
Subaru of Olathe partners with PawsAbilities to support their mission of creating jobs for people with disabilities in Kansas City. They have provided over 1,200 working hours of employment for students, helping them learn customer service skills for future jobs.
Lexus of Colorado Springs
When members of the Lexus of Colorado Springs team volunteered at their local Salvation Army, they learned that their food pantry had a dire need for canned goods. In honor of February being Canned Food Awareness Month, Lexus hosted a drive at their dealership. When customers brought in five or more cans, they received a 10% discount on their vehicles’ service bill.
