Technician Apprenticeship Program


The program consists of 51 weeks of classroom and part-time hours working at Baxter. The part-time hours may include virtual or classroom attendance combined with dealership work experience. Technician apprentices will start in Detail or Lube Tech and will progress appropriately into higher levels through mentoring and skill rotation with designed Service Technicians. Upon completion of the program, the Dealership will gift the apprentice a Tool Kit.


Program Eligibility


  • Baxter employees are eligible to apply for the recruitment program
  • Must be enrolled in a trade school for Automotive Technology or Auto Collision Repair Technology programs.
  • High School students must be enrolled in the Avenue Scholar or YBC Programs offering dual enrollment at select colleges.

Program Requirements


  • A minimum of 80% school attendance
  • A minimum of four Automotive Service Excellence (ASEs) completed by graduation.

Program Payout


Baxter Auto Group will pay for you to go to school while working with the best technicians in the industry. Payout can be used for tuition, fees, books, or tools at the student’s discretion.

Tuition, books, and fees will be paid at the time of verifiable school enrollment. Then in the second year after the school enrollment is verified, the tuition, books, and fees are as follows:


  • Students receiving grants or financial aid will receive a Program Voucher that can be used towards additional expenses such as books, fees, or tools for the program.
  • Baxter will not reimburse or pay for any failed or incomplete courses. Direct Billing for Enrollment may be offered at some colleges.
  • To celebrate the completion of the 51-week program, the Dealership will award the apprentice with a Took Kit
